About me
I am Xuyang Yan, a passionate researcher in machine learning and autonomous systems, with expertise in non-stationary data stream clustering, anomaly detection, and feature selection. I received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) and Henan Polytechnic University in 2016. In 2018 and 2022, I earned my M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at NC A&T, respectively. My research interests include clustering, classification, feature selection, data stream analysis, active learning, anomaly detection, and the application of machine learning techniques in autonomous vehicles.
Research Interests
Currently, I am developing fairness-aware AI models and building pipelines for handling complex data in both structured and unstructured formats. My goal is to push the boundaries of AI to create innovative and practical solutions that have meaningful impacts. I am also interested in topics include but not limits to:
- Graph neural networks (GNNs) and Graph-Mamba
- GNN in Recommender System Design
- GNN in Social Network Modeling
- GNN for Casual Inference
Interests
When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring interdisciplinary AI applications and collaborating with professionals from diverse domains. Also, I am a big fan of Tennis and continuously improving my tennis skills.
